After posturing himself as the candidate who would usher in a post-racial America if elected, Barack Obama has proven time and again that race is a central theme of his administration. Whether his association with and promotion of race baiters like Eric Holder or the implementation of divisive educational standards through federal Common Core curriculum, it is clear this White House wants to continue stoking the embers of bigotry for political gain.
Obama’s embrace of ethnic segregation was on full display, however, in a document released at the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend — under the radar of many media outlets.
Set to affect residents of his ostensible birthplace, Obama wants to establish a new form of government for Hawaii’s native race. Everyone else would be subject to existing compulsory tax burdens and legal restrictions of the U.S. government.
As law professor and civil rights advocate Gail Heriot noted, this could be the first step in once again separating American citizens along racial lines.
“If you can do that with groups that are already party of the mainstream, you can balkanize the country.”
A bill calling for similar action stalled in Congress due to a lack of support. Some experts identify this move as Obama yet again using his position to unilaterally impose his will on the nation.
